Coimbra ’24: Time Management

Sharing my two biggest passions

Whilst teaching the course Entrepreneurship in Water Sports and Travel, the entrepreneurial lifestyle has been a topic that was adressed often. A vital part of working for yourself is efficiency and time management. Given this to be a topic I also provide trainings in (for companies) I felt this to be a great part of one of my classes during this course.

On Thursday July 25th it was time for a 1h workshop time management. During this hyper focused session I did share some of my knowledge but mostly have been inviting the students to identify their own challenges around the topic.

I generally work with 4 pillars: creating an overview, planning, focus and evaluation. Especially the first and second of them were discussed and this led to some truly interesting conversations. I created little exercises doing a Brain Dump as well as filling out your own Eisenhower Matrix.

The goal was mainly to open the eyes of the students and have them realise that these are topics you can work on yourself as well – you even have to work on them in order to find the ideal balance in your life, where your work is one of the areas that will take quite some time.
