In November 2024 Level Entrepreneurship was asked to host an online masterclass around Entrepreneurship: Idea Validation & Mindset for the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, Spain. With great enthusiasm, Level’s Founder Olmo van Beurden hosted a 1h session on the topic mentioned, followed by around 25 students following a Master Degree in Business Organization.
Idea Validation is a skill and a mindset and it’s vital to learn – among many other important topics around Entrepreneurship. We found that when truly looking for making impact, it’s vital to focus on something people will take with them – rather than general inspiration. The topic mentioned is such a tool and we are happy and proud we made it happen to host this Masterclass. More of these to come and this will certainly also become one of the main topics within our Short Courses Entrepreneurship.
This was a great opportunity to combine the experience in teaching and training (generally at companies), which created a very interactive class. 3 times the students were asked a specific question, either to answer individually or in small groups.
Olmo says: ”From my background in training, I truly believe in Learning by Doing and that’s exactly what I’m trying to incorporate in my teaching. When asking the students questions, I truly make them think about it and share their perspectives with peers. This is to make them discover some of the knowledge they might not even have been aware of as well as that they will learn loads from their classmates.” (text continues below image)
Obviously we would have prefered to have more time, simply needed to make a bigger impact on this topic. However, we do believe we still managed to inspire the students, to make them aware of the importance and value of rather quick and simple validation of a business idea.
A new concept has been born and we are truly looking forward for more Masterclasses and Short Courses on this topic.
